Housing Supervisor

Responsible for the daily operation of McCall’s housing programs, including HERO, H2H, and Permanent Supportive Housing (Lovetre Apartments), ensuring that all agency, program, and grant requirements are met. Position will be split between Torrington and Waterbury based on program needs.

Full-time / Exempt

Pay Range begins at $75,000/year

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 2 years’ case management experience in housing and/or substance use, and previous supervisory experience required.

Knowledge of, or ability to quickly develop competency with, issues related to homelessness, effective intervention techniques, and a basic understanding of mental health and substance abuse issues.

Must be able to work independently and in the community, maintain good working relationships with organizational staff and partners, and represent the values and philosophy of McCall in all interactions.

Must be able to work effectively with populations that have experienced vulnerability, trauma, economic poverty, incarceration, substance use, developmental delays, compromised mental wellness, brain injuries, literacy and numeracy issues, and/or other conditions or situations that have impacted housing stability.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for overseeing Recovery Supports housing programs, which currently include: HERO, H2H, and Lovetre Apartments, as meeting standards of care consistent with DMHAS regulations.
  • Submit required reports and meet outcome measures as required by DMHAS and any other funding sources.
  • Collaborate with all McCall programs, supervisors, and directors to help facilitate referrals and provide resources and information.
  • Provide supervision to HERO and H2H program staff.
  • Engages in regular supervision with the Director of Recovery Supports
  • Provides regular supervision to assigned staff
  • Maintains a caseload of case management clients at Lovetre Apartments (4)
  • Maintains a caseload of HERO clients (5)
  • Performs internal chart audits periodically to monitor ongoing quality and compliance, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Responsible for the correct entry of information in DDAP
  • Along with the Director of Recovery Supports, responsible for hiring and training new staff.
  • Collaborate with other agencies as needed and in some cases as required by each funding source/program.
  • Represents McCall and the Recovery Supports department at community meetings and other external partners.
  • May be required to perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
