APRN
The APRN provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment at our Torrington programs as well as our Waterbury programs. The APRN will collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, attend clinical meetings and will provide direct care services to clients in a behavioral health care setting. The APRN will evaluate and treat clients in residential, IOP and outpatient settings, will prescribe medications as appropriate to diagnostic findings, and will assure clients’ overall engagement in their recovery plans.
Full Time / Exempt
Salary Range is $128,000 - $145,000
QUALIFICATIONS
Maintains a current CT APRN license and CPR certification. Experienced in addiction nursing and trained in treating psychiatric/co-occurring disorders. Must have a psychiatric APRN degree and must be able to see both adults, adolescents and children.
Valid Driver’s license required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs comprehensive behavioral health assessments.
- Prescribes psychotropic medication, manages the medications, documents rationale for medications and updates treatment/wellness plans for clients
- Demonstrates an understanding of current, evidence-based addiction treatments, including anti-craving medications and Medication Assisted Therapies including injectable naltrexone (Vivitrol), suboxone (Sublocade) and buprenorphine (Suboxone) treatment.
- Provides timely documentation in clients’ Electronic Medical Record, consistent with DMHAS and DPH guidelines.
- Acts as a resource to Clinical team in providing education and information related to holistic care of clients.
- Attends Outpatient and Residential rounds on a weekly basis.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
