MAT Recovery Coach

Works as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team to coordinate clinical and case management services for adults who participate in McCall’s medication-assisted treatment (MAT-SOR) programs. Responsible for understanding and endorsing multiple pathways to recovery. The MAT Recovery Coach is the primary administrator for the agency’s federally funded MAT expansion programs.

Fulltime / Non-Exempt

Payrange begins at $20.50 / hour

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate’s degree preferred (candidates with a minimum of 3 years’ experience will be considered). A person with lived experience is preferred. Minimum of one year experience working in substance abuse and/or mental health field is preferred. Certification as a Recovery Coach and/or Recovery Support Specialist within 90 days of hire required. 

Independent, organized and detail-oriented, as well as excellent inter-personal skills for client engagement, collaboration with varied stakeholders; ability to identify possible individualized recovery supports for clients; ability to write reports and correspondence; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions; ability to communicate fluently in a second language is viewed favorably; proficient with Microsoft Suite.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk, using the phone, and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitates communication with McCall providers and other clinical staff on new referrals, inductions and discharges; assists in coordination of physical examinations with primary care providers, provides client education regarding available medication-assisted therapies.
  • Ensures documentation and reporting is completed and submitted to meet agency, grant and contractual stipulations within designated timeframes; maintains MAT spreadsheet and shares biweekly with outpatient team.
  • Maintains familiarity with community resources and collaborates with other agencies and community-based supports; participates in the Mobile Wellness Van rotation to provide resources, support and access to MAT treatment in the community.
  • Provides direct care, under the supervision of a licensed/credentialed clinician and in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team, by facilitating/co-facilitating therapy groups, educational groups and performing assigned case management activities to assist in achieving desired outcomes and to meet best practices.
