Director of Residential Clinical Services - Sign-On Bonus of $8,000 for Fully Licensed Professional
The Director of Residential Clinical Services provides clinical leadership and oversight for McCall Behavioral Health Network's residential substance use disorder programs. Working in close collaboration with the Director of Residential Services, this role ensures that all clinical services meet the highest standards of care, regulatory compliance, and evidence-based practice.

Salary Range begins at $110,000
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related clinical field required. Must hold a current, unrestricted license in the State of Connecticut (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent). A minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in substance use disorder treatment is required, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or leadership role. Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of CARF or Joint Commission accreditation standards and have experience with utilization review, managed care authorization, and clinical documentation within an EHR environment. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships across disciplines and seniority levels are also required.
Preferred:
Experience in a residential or 24-hour care setting is preferred, along with familiarity with ASAM Level 3.1 or higher programming. Experience working with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders is also preferred. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
This is a full-time, exempt position based on-site at residential program locations. Some evening or weekend availability may be required to support program needs and staff supervision. Candidates must also be able to successfully pass all required background checks and meet applicable regulatory employment requirements.
Valid Driver’s license required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and direction across all residential SUD programs, including any newly added or expanded program lines.
- Establish, monitor, and continuously improve clinical standards for assessment, treatment planning, group and individual therapy, and discharge planning.
- Implement and sustain evidence-based practices appropriate to residential SUD treatment, including trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and co-occurring disorder frameworks.
- Conduct regular clinical record reviews to ensure documentation quality, timeliness, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives, including development and monitoring of clinical outcome measures and data collection systems.
- Serve as the clinical point of contact for CARF accreditation, Joint Commission standards, DPH licensure, and other regulatory bodies as applicable.
- Ensure clinical policies and procedures are current, compliant, and consistently implemented across all residential programs.
- Coordinate utilization review processes and serve as liaison to managed care organizations, insurers, and funding sources on clinical matters.
- Maintain readiness for accreditation surveys and licensing reviews; respond to clinical findings and corrective action requirements.
- Provide individual and group clinical supervision to licensed and license-eligible clinical staff in accordance with Connecticut licensure requirements.
- Develop and deliver clinical training curriculum for residential program staff, including orientation and ongoing professional development.
- Collaborate with the Director of Residential Services on performance management of clinical staff, including evaluation input and corrective action processes.
- Foster a culture of clinical excellence, reflective practice, and staff well-being.
- Partner with the Director of Residential Services to ensure integrated, seamless program delivery across clinical and operational functions.
- Contribute to the development of new programming, grant proposals, and requests for proposals (RFPs).
- Participate in organizational leadership meetings, strategic planning, and cross-departmental initiatives as a representative of residential clinical services.
